Container Control (X-ray scanner)

The mobile X-ray scanner, installed on the container terminal and managed by the « Unité Mixte de Contrôle de Conteneurs (UMCC)” (a joint container control unit), is intended to check the conformity and integrity of outgoing and incoming containers as part of the fight against illicit trafficking of prohibited products.

The transfer to the scanner area of containers seized by the UMCC or selected for a scan during customs officers’ visit is billed according to the rates in force.
