Container Entry / Exit Control

For all containers entering or leaving the terminal, a physical (visual) check is carried out in order to be able to determine where responsibilities lay and any fault or anomaly noted is documented and reported to the line or to the shipping agency. This control of container entry and exit relates mainly to the following elements:

– Container number,

– Container size/type,

– Existence or not of external physical damage,

– Existence or not of internal physical damage (for empty containers),

– Presence or absence of lead.

For any physical damage or anomaly noted, the damage or anomaly is mentioned on the EIR document describing the condition of the container during the transfer of responsibility and signed by LCT Delivery Control Supervisor and the truck driver. A copy of the EIR document is given to the truck driver.
